The replica of Trevithick's 1802 Pen-y-Darren
loco is seen in action on the 4ft gauge plateway
(laid between the standard gauge metals in the
oil siding) at Ironbridge power station. Ever
seen a steam loco being bump-started before? May

9F 92203, visiting the Llangollen Railway, is
seen drifting along beside the river Dee with a
demonstration freight on a cold, still January
day, 1997. Lots of nice freight sounds... (50s / 783k)

9Fs 92212 and 92203 blast away from the
quarry at Cranmore with 16 loaded bogie hoppers (and
the Yeoman GM "switcher" for braking
only) - about 1700 tons. David Shepherd is seen
in the cab of his engine as the train rolls back
