Worth Valley Railway
Here are a couple of clips recorded on the Keighley and Worth
Valley Railway.
The first is taken on the upper section of the line, between Haworth
and Oxenhope. The second depicts the train approaching Ingrow
station, passing through and diving into the short tunnel. In both
cases, the train is headed by BR Standard 2MT 2-6-0 no. 78022 and
LMS 8F 2-8-0 no. 48431. At the rear, heard "whistling" as
the train passes, is English Electric type1 D8031, which will head
the train on its return trip (to save time running round)

Severn Valley Railway
An intensive service runs between Kidderminster and Arley
(Santa's Grotto...), with five trains in service. All that's needed
is a clear, frosty day...
The first clip represents an attempt to do something different -
to get awau from the "gallery" and film straight into the
sun. The loco is either 46443 or 46521 - I can't remember which.
The second clip depicts LNER K4 2-6-0 3442 "The Great
Marquess" - the sound track makes clear the distinctive
3-cylinder beat. Both trains are seen on the climb to Foley Park
tunnel.

Midland Railway
A light mist hangs on the rails as ex-LMS "Jinty"
0-6-0T no. 47327 is seen working to the summit, then drifting down
to Swanwick, steam oozing from the train's heating pipes.

North York Moors Railway
Trains are seen on the northern section of the line, on the climb
from Grosmont to Goathland summit.
Santa trains are running, though the first clip is not a Santa
train, but the all-year "Moorlander" dining train, hauled
this day by WD 2-10-0 "Dame Vera Lynn", seen passing Moor
Gates.
The second clip, nearly 3 minutes long, shows an ex-Lambton
Collieries 0-6-2T on the Santa train, seen leaving Grosmont,
climbing steadily past Esk Valley and heading away towards Beck
Hole. Though the loco is working hard, the ex-BR cl 25 at the rear
is working hard too, making for an interesting sound track!
