About Kidderminster Advanced Motorists

The Kidderminster Advanced Motorists Group (KAM) was formed in July 1999 and is affiliated to the Institute of Advanced Motorists (the IAM).

The main aim of the Group is to promote on a local level the aims of the Institute of Advanced Motorists, that is, the advancement of road safety through the improvement of the standard of driving. This is achieved through driver education and guidance.

Although we are called the Kidderminster Group, we in fact cover a geographical area which includes all of the “DY” postal area. We also have members from some adjoining areas such as Halesowen (B postcode) and Tenbury Wells (WR postcode). We welcome anyone who wants to join the Kidderminster Group.

Whilst KAM does not have its own Motorcycle section, the Worcestershire Motorcycle Group is actually based in Kidderminster and operates from the Hoobrook Trading Estate.  (See under IAM Groups below.)

Our neighbouring groups are Redditch, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Wolverhampton and Birmingham. Whilst Kidderminster Group does not have it’s own motorcycle division, many of our neighbouring groups do, so if you are a motorcyclist, just click on the IAM site address to find your nearest motorcycle group www.iam.org.uk (IAM Groups).
