The jpegs of this ticket were kindly sent to me by John Williams. John has been in Australia for over 45 years now, and tells me that his father's parents moved from Blaenavon, Wales, in the early 1920s and operated a bakery at the Rowden Mill. Later they moved to Bromyard and operated the bakery in the town square. The old shop is now used as an antique toy store and museum. John's grandfather was named Frank Thomas Williams.

The ticket is the last one issued from Bromyard to Rowden Mill on 15th Sep.1952. John remembers the last train travelling from Worcester to Leominster. He says "We went up to Foregate Street to see it. I vaguely recollect the loco having some kind of a garland on the front"
