Irish Mail heads an anti-clockwise passengerIsabel on the mixed freightThe annual steam gala at Amerton is always fun. The circular line is operated with trains running in both directions, passing at the station and the loop out in the fields. The net result, as fairly described by my wife, is "Keystone Cops with little trains"...

A further "Wren" is resident on the line - "Lorna Doone", ex- Birmingham Science Museum. Non-operational, she posed in the yard for photographers.

We spent a very pleasant afternoon there (as ever) - the nature of the line means that all parts can be visited on foot with little effort, and the winding track makes for interesting photography. If you haven't been - put it in your diary.
