Here's a "work in progress" - an area of "Geoff's Pages" a little bit different from the others

In railway parlance, a "special" is a train that runs outside the normal timetable - a "one-off" such as an excursion, or a one-time freight load

In compiling the main areas of "Geoff's Pages", some sets of photos have emerged that don't quite fit into the usual "Rail Pages" or "Rail Diaries" formats. In a sense, they are specials - no particular theme, no uniformity of content or presentation. In time, some of them might become "Rail Diaries" entries, but in the meantime - here they are.
